What makes Art important...
Mrs. Doney teaches middle school art to sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students. Each class enjoys fun, educational projects where students learn about the elements and principles of art through a variety of techniques and mediums to express themselves. Learning how other artists apply the principles to the elements of art, allows students to learn about the process masters to contemporary artists have used. Studying the different art movements that have shaped our culture, students gain an understanding of how art has influenced our world.
Without art we would not have the necessary ingredients that mathematicians, scientists, engineers, and designers alike need, so as to accomplish the creative and aesthetic nature of what makes our world rich with culture.
